How to Make a Curved Line Graph in Excel

One
of the popular types of graphs that can be made with Excel are Line Graphs. Line
graphs are usualy used to track changes over a specified period of time. For example,
when tracking changes in weather patterns over a period of 12 months, a line
graph would be ideal.

Personally,
I use line graphs to track enrollment patterns at E-zone School of Computing in
Nabbingo.

However,
of recent, I was asked by one of my students why the line graphs where always straight
from one point to the next. The student asked me how he could add a curve or
bend to a particular line graph. Today’s article explains this and I hope it
could help you too.

Select
the data and create a normal line graph

Right
click on the line graph and choose Format
Data Series

Click
on the bucket

Scroll
to the bottom and click to activate Smoothed
line
.

You
now have a smoothed line graph.
